It utilizes the iconic Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1, which is a low rye recipe that emphasizes dense grain sweetness and dark fruit.

Maturation in #4 char American white oak has produced a robust profile featuring layers of molasses, dark chocolate, and the trademark Stagg cherry notes. The high proof allows the rich oils and esters to remain concentrated, resulting in a thick, chewy mouthfeel and a long, warming finish defined by seasoned oak and baking spices.
