Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis Blanc 2023

The Morey-Saint-Denis white wine comes from 2 parcels located within the climat Porroux, to the east of the village of Morey-Saint-Denis, on the bottom of the slope where the incline is the least steep. The vines face northeast. The Morey whites are situated just above the winerys parcel of Morey-Saint-Denis red. This particular spot was chosen for planting chardonnay because the RD 974 blocks the cold air which comes down the hillside and as it brings a natural acidity to the wine.

The soil is rich in silt with less rocks on the hillside but limestone pebbles from Comblanchien can be present. Two distinct substrata make up the subsoil of the Morey-Saint-Denis village cuve. According to the parcel, we can find fine deposits put in place as the collapsing gap closed over the course of millions of years or the spreading of alluvial cones at the outlet of the valley of Morey-Saint-Denis.
