Domaine Laboureau have been making wine in Burgundy since 1640 and there are currently 3 generations working this small family vineyard in the Cotes de Beaune.
In the glass
Bright ruby with garnet glints. Violet and cherry with gooseberry hints on the nose with more fruit on the nose, moving to cooked prunes and the familliar Burgundy gaminess we associate with this wine. Elegant, velvety with a perfectly balanced finish.
How it’s made
Mathieu Laboureau is the 6th generation of growers in his tiny Burgundy vineyard in the Cote de Beaune. He farms 5 hectares in total and grapes are hand harvested and go through 3 selection stages. Traditional vinification, with 18 months in old French oak barrels. Bottled without filtration after 3-4 months.
