The inspiration: Phoenix Honey Orchid, a rare oolong grown in the mist-covered Phoenix Mountain range of Guangdong, China, known for its lush dessert wine aromas and exotic floral fruit character.

The whisky is predominantly matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks creating a lighter, more aromatic profile than The Macallan’s traditional European oak style supported by sherry-seasoned European oak for roasted depth and a subtle inclusion of ex-bourbon casks for added sweetness. The result is one of the most floral, perfumed, and elegantly structured expressions in the Harmony series. Color: Warm honey amber light russet with golden tones, natural colour

Nose: Sun-drenched and floral peach, apricot, floral honey, tropical fruit, and sweet oak. A cooling, perfumed lift reminiscent of iced jasmine oolong.

Palate: Peaches in rich syrup, warm citrus, toffee, tropical fruit, and light floral tones. A delicate leafy astringency adds complexity and length.

Finish: Long, fruity, and elegant ripe fruit, soft oak, and a gentle tea-leaf dryness that lingers and builds.
