– Single vineyard expression from the Grand Cru of Le Mesnil Sur Oger
– High quality house producing uber premium style of long aged champagne –
– 100% Chardonnay, aged for 8 years and made extra brut in style
From the classic Grand Cru village of Mesnil-sur-Oger, known for its razor-sharp acidity, comes this elegant vintage Blanc de – Delicate aromas of citrus and green apple are given weight by a lightly creamy, biscuit texture. Acidity is nervy and cutting, still very fresh over eight years after the vintage. A long, persistent, subtly spicy finish completes this gorgeously complex bubbler.

About the house
Dating back to 1802, the Gonet family have been producing wine in Avize, in the heart of the Cote des Blancs, for over two centuries. Sophie Gonet and her brother Charles-Henri are seventh generation winegrowers who, with the expert hand of a young and talented winemaker, Antoine Gomerieux, have an adventurous flair for producing wines that express in perfect balance the typicality of their special terroir and the unique characteristics of each vintage. These are wines that, in our humble opinion, often outperform many of the famous and much more expensive big brands.
