The name of this cuvee is inspired by the Corsican expression Pigliassi una scimia which translates roughly into to become a monkey and means to get a little buzzed (the monkey being associated with the happy drunk). Made from young vines and in a fresh style, this wine is so pleasing that winemaker Jose Vanucci kept returning to this one special tank, eventually drawing a monkey on it and naming the cuvee Vinu di Scimia.
