“Alongside some of Clare Valley’s most famed single vineyards sites is the MCR block, so named by Mockingbird Hill due to its proximity to McRae Wood Road. Characterised by shallow grey & red loam over the slate rock and surrounded by beautiful old blue gums, Mockingbird Hill has produced the most intense & characterful wines.
Deep ruby in colour with vibrant purple hues. Aromatic lift of dark cherry, blackberry and cracked pepper. The palate is medium-bodied, showing plum, cocoa and subtle savoury spice. Fine tannins and bright Clare Valley acidity carry a long, fresh finish.”
