Description: Chteau Coutetis located in the Barsac appellation in the Sauternes region. In 1787, Thomas Jefferson, future president of the United States, considered that Chteau Coutet was the best Sauternes in Barsac. The word “Coutet” is derived from the Gascon word for knife. This word perfectly sums up the unique style of the estate’s wines, which are sharp, lively and fresh.

Tasting

Nose:
The nose is expressive, releasing fragrances of dried fruit (quince, fig), and grilled and vanilla scents with refreshing notes of ginger, preserved lemon and lemon curd.

Palate:
The attack combines power and complexity, giving way to a refreshing and full palate with a nice balance.
