Buzzard’s Roost Peated Barrel Rye Whiskey

The story of Buzzards Roost started nearly two decades ago with one mans goal to educate people about whiskey. From the opening of the first bourbon-focused bar – Bourbons Bistro to pioneering the idea of barrel selection for restaurants, Company Founder and Master Blender Jason Brauner has always been at the forefront of whiskey.After taking part in more than a 100 barrel selections over his career, Jason is embarking on his most exciting challenge yet – Buzzards Roost Sipping Whiskey, a Rye he designed with the bourbon drinker in mind. His goal with Buzzards Roost is still the same as it was 19 years ago, to educate and share his love of whiskey.

Buzzard’s Roost most prized barrels are offered uncut, unfiltered, straight out of the barrel. Only a select few barrels will meet the criteria to be offered at Barrel Strength. It’s no wonder this four-year-old whiskey won a Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Nose: Sweet -as in a warm raspberry cobbler. Vanilla, buttercream and light campfire smoke.

Palate: There is that warmth of spice. Its not smoky like a burnt taste.

Finish:Long finish and the very tail end, a slight peaty dirtiness.
