Bodegas Vinessens, Primeros Pasos Monastrell

A youthful, low intervention Monastrell from warm Alicante. In the glass, its deep ruby colour, with aromas of leather, spices, blackberry, and a touch of lavender. On the palate, its dry with flavours of dark fruit, leather, herbs, and a subtle chocolaty finish. Nice tannins with medium body and acidity, it will benefit from decanting. Great for lovers of Primitivo and Rhne reds, this wine also has good aging potential.

Bodega Vinessens is a third-generation family team working their Spanish vineyards focussing on minimal intervention and maximum expression. They practice low-intervention wine-making using only natural yeasts and only grow local grapes like Monastrell, Alicante, Malvasia, and Bouschet.
