Seelbach’s Story:The first time Rolling Fork Spirits blended rum and rye whiskey, it was a complete accident – or as they like to call it, a Fortuitous Union. What began as an error has evolved into one of their most celebrated projects, where experimentation and careful blending push the boundaries of whats possible in well-aged spirits. Rather than chase consistency or complacency, Fortuitous Union prioritizes uniqueness, quality, and value.
For Batch 003, theyve blended 5-year-old 95/5 Indiana rye with 3-year-old Barbados rum, then re-barreled the union into bourbon casks for over two additional years of marriage.
The result? A nose of butterscotch-dipped vanilla soft serve in a fresh waffle cone, followed by a palate of caramel-coated orange slice candies, spiced toffee, worn leather, and dried dark fruits.
Whether you’re team rum or team rye, Batch 003 is the kind of pour that rewards the adventurous.
