Beau Geste Cognac Tres Vieux Fins Bois Lot 89

Of mysterious origins, this Cognac was sourced many years ago from an unknown farm in the South-Charente countryside. The story goes that when the Landier family happened upon it, they were so enamoured with the quality of the eau-de-vie that they purchased it on the spot.

What we do know is that the spirit was distilled in the late 80s. Wonderfully incongruous, it comes from a tiny village in the largest growing area of the Cognac appellation, Fins Bois.

For over three decades it has absorbed the nuances of a refill French oak cask, resulting in an abundance of tropical fruit flavours, citrus, flowers and spice. It was time well spent, preparing it for its ultimate destiny: the remarkable liquid contained in this bottle.
