Rich and concentrated black cherry characters suggest that this is already showing its potential power, displaying great length and concentration. The 10ha of vines are planted on clay-limestone facing south/southeast. The grapes are picked by hand and fermented using carbonic maceration. The domaine, which was founded just after World War II, is now run by Jean-Franois Mrieau and his wife Emilie. Jean-Franois is the fourth generation and prior to taking over studied in Bordeaux and worked in South Africa. Its 35ha of vines are on the south side of the Cher Valley to the east of Montrichard and will be certified organic for the 2023 vintage.
