Michter’s Single Barrel 10 Years Old Straight Rye Whiskey

A single barrel rye produced by one of the oldest distilleries in America and one of themost limited production items, Michters 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye continues the legacy of Americas first whiskey variety (rye) from Americas first whiskey company (Michters, originally known as Shenks). After a nearly three year absence from the market, Michters then Master Distiller Willie Pratt finally gave the green light for the re-release of Michters 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014.

Tasting Notes:

Deep notes of vanilla and toffee, toasted almonds and cinnamon with an ample dose of crushed pepper and a hint of orange citrus. Nut, mocha and leather dominate the palate and nose. Begins light and semi-sweet, then turns drier.
