Fettercairn 18-Year-Old | Finn Thomson

This Fettercairn 18 is finished in a refill Tokaji cask, previously used for a Glen Garioch release exhibits a subtle hint of the fruitiness of Tokaji, but toned down from the first fill. This is well matched to the style of Fettercairn, which is unusual in its approach by cooling the head of the still in order to increase the reflux of the heavier components of the spirit resulting in a tropical, fruity style of whisky. The Tokaji influence lifts the fruity notes whilst still allowing the natural style of the spirit to shine through.
