Created to mark 200 years of the distillerys heritage, the TIME : SPACE Mastery iteration embodies The Macallans pursuit of mastery over time and space. The spirit integrates an array of exceptional casksEuropean oak seasoned with sherry, American oak seasoned with sherry, and bourbon-cask American oakeach selected for the role it plays in the distillerys style. The vessel is designed as a circular form (a nod to the infinite cycle of time) and is housed within a bespoke red-spiked offering box symbolising protection of Craft & Legacy. Matured in the Highland/Speyside environment of Scotland, this bottling is non-age-statement but draws from decades of stored stocks. Bottled at 43.6% ABV to preserve texture and drinkability.
According to the brand, guests experienced aromas of Medjool dates, baked figs, rich milk chocolate, and tropical notes such as dried mango and ripe papaya.
Reviewers note the palate carries sherry-seasoned dried fruits, orange marmalade and honeycomb, while soft spice of ginger and cinnamon add complexity. Many describe the finish as bursts of caramelised pineapple, creamy vanilla, dark chocolate and coffee.
