Blason Ros is a bold, refined ros Champagne that combines generosity and finesse. It carries vibrant red-fruit expression layered with floral perfume, underpinned by structure and tension. Its both elegant and expressiveequally suitable for celebratory moments or pairing across a full meal.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Blason Ros sits within the Perrier-Jout portfolio as a gourmet ros cuve, conceived to push beyond standard ros stereotypes. The blend typically comprises Chardonnay (about 25 %), Pinot Noir (about 50 %, including portions vinified as red wine), and Pinot Meunier (about 25 %), with a reserve wine component (1215 %) to maintain house style across vintages.
Grapes are hand-harvested, vinified with careful temperature control, and undergo full malolactic fermentation to soften edge and enhance richness. The blend matures in Perrier-Jouts cellars, aging longer than minimum Appellation requirements, before dosage is applied (generally 811 g/L depending on vintage). The production emphasizes balancefreshness, red-fruit character, and underlying structural integrity.
This cuve is inspired by the historic Blason de France line, aiming to combine vigour and elegance in harmony with gastronomy.
Tasting Profile
Nose: A radiant bouquet of strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, and hints of pomegranate. Floral notes of honeysuckle, rose, and white flowers weave through, while subtle pastry and brioche nuances provide depth.
Palate: On the palate it is lively and full-bodied. Layers of red berries (wild strawberry, sour cherry) glide into richer notes of blood orange, red plum, and a touch of dark currant. Beneath the fruit lies toasted bread, biscuit, and creamy pastry hints. The acidity is lively, framing the wine and giving it tension without sharpness.
Finish: The finish is generous and lingering. Fruit recedes gradually to red cherry and citrus peel, while gentle minerality and a whisper of spice (maybe saffron or baking spice) extend the structural impression. The wine leaves a fresh, refined impression without heaviness.
Malolactic fermentation, extended aging in cellars, blended and then dosed (811 g/L)
