Origins & Craftsmanship

Produced by Gonzlez Byass in the historic Sherry Triangle around Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, this expression stands among the brands premium Solera Gran Reserva offerings. As with all Brandy de Jerez, the base spirit is distilled from Palomino Fino wine a characteristic practice for the region that imparts a vinous fruit anchor to the spirit. The spirit is then aged in a Solera system, where younger and older brandies work together through fractional blending in a network of barrels.

What distinguishes the PX edition is the final stage of Solera aging in barrels that previously held legendary Pedro Ximnez sherry one of Spains most intensely sweet, raisin-driven fortified wines. These PX barrels contribute additional sweetness, dried fruit concentration, and a velvety mouthfeel that enrich the traditional Solera Gran Reserva profile.
