Producer Information
Odette Estate is a Napa Valley winery and the third wine brand launched by the PlumpJack Group. Odette makes the popular Napa varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay and is best known for its estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon from its vineyards in the Stags Leap District AVA. Odette was established in 2012 through the purchase of the Steltzner Winery that had been in operation since the 1960s. The winery and facilities were extensively renovated and 18,000 square feet of caves were dug. The estate now encompasses 18 hectares (45 acres) of organically farmed vineyards planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wines have a small production and are mostly sold directly through the winery via mailing list or at the cellar door. Odette has received good critical reception in its short history with the inaugural 2012 Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon being awarded 100 points from critic Robert Parker. Odette makes a second label, called Adaptation, which it established in the vintages before the estate wines could be released. Adaptation is still made using fruit sourced from sustainable vineyards throughout Napa Valley and includes wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Chardonnay.
