“Blair Athol Distillery, founded in 1798 in Pitlochry, Scotland, is one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries, known as the spiritual home of Bell’s blended whisky, though it produces a rich, nutty single malt from the Allt Dour burn. Its story involves changing hands multiple times, a closure in the 1930s, and acquisition by Arthur Bell & Sons, ensuring its malt became crucial for Bell’s, eventually becoming part of Diageo, with a popular visitor center today.”
