Red Wine: 2022 | Domaine Clos de la Chapelle | Volnay Premier Cru Clos de la Chapelle
A riper nose is comprised by notes of poached plum, black pinot fruit liqueur and a whiff of kirsch. The rich, punchy and surprisingly dense medium-bodied flavors, particularly for such young vines, culminate in a sappy but overtly austere finish where bitter pit fruit character is prominent.

Producer Information
Domaine Clos de la Chapelle is a wine estate in the Volnay appellation of Burgundy. The domaine is made up exclusively of a small number of grand cru and premier cru vineyards in the Cte de Beaune. The Clos de la Chapelle Monopole not only provides the namesake wine for the domaine group but is also one of the flagship vineyards producing Premier Cru Volnay reds from Pinot Noir grapes. The domaine also has premier cru sites in Pommard, Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and grand cru sites in Corton. The domaine is certified organic and follows biodynamic farming practices. The history of the estate dates back centuries, but was not known as Clos de la Chapelle until 1937.
