2015 Rodano Mon Nene Cabernet Sauvignon 750 Ml

Fattoria di Rodano is located along the road leading from the Elsa Valley to Castellina in Chianti, at an altitude between 200 and 300 metres above sea level. this is one of the roads forming the old Via Franchigena, used in the Middle Ages by pilgrims to travel from Northern Europe to Rome. In Rodano an old Benedictine house existed where the pilgrims used to stop during the long travel. We are on the western side of Chianti Classico’s territory, where hills are easy and open to a climate mildened by sea winds.

The Rodano estate has grown Cabernet since the 1970s. The stony and chalky Chianti Classico soil is perfect for cabernet-based wines these characteristics provide the wine with the elegance of Bordeaux Cabernets, but with fruit similar to some Napa Cabernets Mon Nene is stylistically in between.
