Varvaglione Vigne & Vini srl is a family wine producer, located in Puglia just outside the town of Taranto. Located within Primitivo di Manduria DOC, it produces a wide collection of wines under multiple different DOCs and IGTs. Varvaglione is one of the oldest wineries in southern Italy, it has been producing wine since 1921. Today, the company is run by the fourth generation of the Vargalione family. The company cultivates 150 hectares (370 acres) of vines and additionally, works in collarboration with local grape-growers to produce the predominately Italian grape varieities portfolio of wines. Red varieties include Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Aglianico with the Verdeca, Falaghina, Malvasia Bianca and Fiano varieties dominating the collection of whites. The Varvaglione portfolio encompasses many different styles at various price points. It is led by The Luxury Wine Collection which is composed of the 1921 Primitivo di Manduria Riserva DOP and a duo of Cosimo Varvaglione from the Negroamaro del Salento IGP and the Primitivo di Manduria DOP.
