2021 Clase Azul Dia de los Muertos Sabores is an 80 proof (40% ABV) limited-release produced at NOM 1595 in Jesus Maria, Jalisco. This spirit represents the brands first-ever Single Estate Agave Tequila, with 100% Blue Weber agave sourced exclusively from “El Cerro del Viboreo” in Los Altos de Jalisco. The production involves slow-cooking agave in masonry ovens for 72 hours and double distillation in copper pot stills. The final liquid is a complex blend of Aejo tequila matured for more than 14 months in used American whiskey casks, married with tequilas aged in first-use American oak casks featuring light and medium charring.
Technical profile notes include candied orange peel, agave syrup, and almond on the nose, with a palate of citrus, clove, and roasted coffee. Global production was strictly limited to 2,000 individually numbered units.
