ABOUT THE WINE

Sourced from high-altitude, limestone-rich vineyards in and around Rully, this Aligot is farmed organically and crafted with the same precision and care Vincent Dureuil-Janthial applies to his more prestigious cuves. The 2022 vintage brought ideal ripeness and natural acidity, highlighting Aligots linear profile while giving it an added layer of depth and complexity.

The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel and older barrels. Aging on fine lees for several months adds texture and subtle nuance without sacrificing the wines essential vibrancy. No new oak is used, preserving the grapes natural freshness and mineral cut.

Vincent Dureuil-Janthial is widely celebrated as one of the most meticulous and skilled vignerons in Burgundy, especially known for his work in Rully and the Cte Chalonnaise. His family has deep roots in the region, and since taking over the domaine in the early 1990s, Vincent has turned it into a benchmark for precision farming and terroir-driven winemaking.

Farming is fully organic, with careful vineyard management, low yields, and a philosophy rooted in letting each parcel speak clearly. In the cellar, Vincent works with restraintnative fermentations, minimal intervention, and aging tailored to enhance, not obscure, the character of each wine.
