“The “Old Orkney distillery story” often refers to Highland Park, founded by Viking descendant Magnus Eunson around 1798, a church officer who illegally distilled spirits, hiding them under church pulpits before getting caught and eventually licensing the operation. Another key site was the Stromness Distillery.”
