Baltic porter is known in the world as the only porter made by the bottom fermentation method. It is a beer with a dark copper brown color and dense foam, with a rich aroma and taste of slightly sweet roasted caramel and a delicious bitter note in the aftertaste. Baltic porter is a version of imperial stout which originated in the Baltic region in the 19th century. Imperial stouts exported from Britain in the 18th century were popular in the countries around the Baltic Sea.
