Origins & Craftsmanship
Chteau Deyrem Valentin is a historic family estate located in Soussans in the Margaux appellation of Bordeauxs Mdoc, with roots dating back to 1730. The property has been managed by the Sorge family for several generations, and today Jean Sorge works alongside his daughters Sylvie and Christelle, continuing the estates family-run tradition.

The vineyard covers roughly 13 hectares planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with small amounts of Petit Verdot and other traditional Bordeaux varieties. These vineyards lie among several classified growth estates in northern Margaux and benefit from the gravel soils typical of the Mdoc, which encourage excellent drainage and produce wines with aromatic complexity and refined structure.

The 2018 blend is approximately:

• 1% Petit Verdot

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks before the wine is aged around 15 months in French oak barrels, roughly one-third of which are new.
