Fender Custom Shop ’66 Strat Journeyman Relic Pewter Masterbuilt by Austin MacNutt

This is a Strat that balances vintage character with a sharp, custom-built edge. Masterbuilt by Austin MacNutt, this 1966 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic takes a classic platform and pushes it into something far more distinctiveboth visually and sonically.

Finished in Pewter with an orange competition stripe, its immediately different. The Journeyman Relic treatment gives it just the right amount of wearbroken-in without being overdonewhile the lightweight alder body keeps everything resonant and responsive.

The real story here is the combination of a birdseye maple neck and AAA rosewood fingerboard. It adds a level of visual depth you dont usually see on a 66-style Strat, while the 9.5″ radius and vintage upgrade frets make it feel smooth and modern under the hands. Its a fast, comfortable neck that still holds onto that classic Fender feel.

Loaded with Josefina hand-wound Texas Special pickups (with Lipstick covers) and a blender wiring setup, this Strat covers serious ground. You get all the expected Strat tonesbut with added flexibility and a little more push when you need it. This is a players Custom Shop Strat with a unique look and the tone to back it up.
