Vineyards
The grapes used to makeMasciarelli Montepulcianocome from the Loreto Aprutino that are located at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level and are made of clay rich in sand.
Vinification
The clusters are destemmed and pressed when they reach the winery. The must is macerated at a controlled temperature with the skins for 10 to 15 days, depending on the vintage. Once alcoholic fermentation has finished, the wine is settled and racked to age for twenty months in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
Big, deep, dark brooding fruit, earth, truffle and mineral surrounded by copious yet ripe tannins and perfect acidity. Full-bodied and complex yet elegant with earthy notes leading to a lingering finish.
Great with anchovy and caper crostini,Arrosticini(lamb kebabs) or saffron potato cakes.
