George Connell officially started Glengoyne in 1833, but George has been making Whisky long before that. Famously, they say the Glengoyne distilling process takes longer than any other in Scotland to deliver their unique richness and character. Second, they exclusively useGolden Promise barley which has a lower grain yield, but higher quality. Third, they makeextensive use of Sherry casks for agingacross the entire core range.
