Highland Park 25 Year Old Malt Whisky, 70 cl

Complex and absolutely fulfilling. The whisky has benefited from being aged mostly in sherry seasoned oak casks which has produced a plethora of flavours including chocolate (dark I think); dried fruit, toffee and hazelnut to name but a few. Product Description

It was Magnus Eunson who founded Highland Park, back in 1798. Much is made of his Viking heritage around the distillery and there is little doubt that, being based on Orkney some 16km north of the Scottish mainland, that the climate is certainly pretty wild being surrounded by stormy seas. Despite its remoteness though, the temperature is relatively steady across the year (rarely varying out of between 2 and 16 degrees) which is perfect for maturing whisky.
