This 300ml Salmon de SHU sake was awarded the prestigious Double Gold Medal at the Milano Sake Challenge 2023.
Crafted specifically to complement salmon dishes from around the world, this blended sake is ideal with sushi, sashimi, salt-grilled salmon, carpaccio, meunire, and smoked salmon. It gently washes away any fishiness while enhancing the umami richness of the fish.
Inspired by the annual upstream migration of salmon in the Naka River near our brewery in Shimotsu, where families traditionally exchange salmon each autumn, Salmon de SHU is brewed using a carefully selected blend of junmai sakes. High in acidity and amino acids, its designed to pair beautifully with fatty salmon, finishing clean and refreshing on the palate.
