Last Drop 45 Year Old 1971

This 45yo blend from the Last Drop Distillers contains more than 40 different single malts and grain whiskies, all of which were distilled in 1971, before undergoing a three-part maturation including time in Oloroso sherry butts and ex-American oak barrels. Only 1,352 bottles were produced. Bottled at cask strength of 47.2%.

Each bottle comes in a green leather case which contains a 50ml miniature, a certificate of authenticity, a tasting booklet and a stopper to reseal the bottle.

Nose:Sweet honey and vanilla give way to tangy orange and lemon followed by warmer notes of stewed apple and toasted almonds.

Palate: Fruity sweetness, again followed by a crisp orange and lemon tang and just a hint of freshly cut oak.

Nose: A taste of chocolate orange and baked fruits with a lingering suggestion of smoke.
