Distinctly maritime with sea breeze on the nose accompanied by wildflower honey, bee pollen, nectarine, and a distant, seaside bonfire. The palate carries more stonefruit (white peach, nectarine again), biscuit, and a gentle peat presence that builds slightly to harmonize with a lingering, citrus and orchard fruit finish. The Lochranza distillery produces the Isle of Arran malt which is known for being very zesty and orchard fruit forward. This particular cask is well within that wheelhouse but the addition of apricots, shortbread cookies, and white peaches make our cask quite a bit moreish.
