Oban 12 Year Old Special Release 2021 Single Malt Whisky, 70 cl

Distilled in 2008, this 12-year-old Oban single malt has been matured in freshly-charred American oak casks, before being bottled as part of Diageo’s 2021 Special Releases. Aromas of crispy seaweed, flaky sea salt, black pepper, light smoke, chilli sauce and olive oil fill the nose. The palate offers notes of lemon, oak spice, garden herbs, salty sea air and oily pepper that linger in the finish.

The 2021 collection, drawn from some of Scotlands most interesting, legendary distilleries and curated by Master Blender Dr Craig Wilson, portrays the otherworldly beings which have fiercely protected the heartlands of remote Scottish distilleries for an eternity, according to our ancient fables, and the mythical creatures come to life revealing their true characters. Drawn from renowned distilleries, the collection nods to the hidden gems that can be found in each corner of the Scottish terrain amongst the lochs and rugged highlands.
