S-Cett Sangiovese, Tenuta San Lucia 2018 (Emilia Romagna, Italy)

Just inland from Rimini,this is Sangiovese Rubicone, which is the same grape as itsneighbor just south in Tuscany, but takes on a different personality here in Romagna. It’ssort of like Rioja to Ribera del Duero, Sangiovese Rubicone is more full and dense with purple and blue fruits as opposed to the red fruited sour cherry notes of Sangiovese from places like Chianti. This one is from biodynamic vineyards, wild fermented, aged all in steel and bottled unfiltered with no sulfur added.
