Yazaemon Old Imari Sakura Sake Set

Although small in size, one can appreciate the detailed and elegant patterns of the old Imari style crafted on this sake set includes a tokkuri (Japanese sake carafe) and two sake cups.

The deep blue comes from the signature technique known as sometsuke, where a blue underglaze is first given to the product.

After the first glaze, the carafe and cups are hand-painted with the festive sakura patterns. The gold outlines accentuate the patterns and highlights the fine drawings of the flowers and other detailed designs.
